Built to fit. Built to last.
What is a Health Locker?

Not just a vending machine.
A clinical-grade dispensing system.

There’s an important distinction between a commercial vending machine and a harm reduction dispensing machine. Health Locker machines are purpose-built for health organisations, which means they’re designed around the specific needs of NSP programs: controlled access, full transaction logging, compliance-ready reporting, and hardware built to survive outdoor deployment.

Every machine is powered by IDS iQ Technology: the same platform used by harm reduction programs across the United States and increasingly in Australia. Every transaction is logged in real time. Every item is accounted for.

The cabinet is built to last. Constructed from 20 gauge steel with fully welded seams and internal bracing, the machines are designed for long-term, reliable service in real-world health settings.

You configure what it dispenses, how clients access it, and what your reporting looks like. We build it, deliver it, and keep it running.

Machine configurations

Two models. One platform.

Health Locker machines come in two sizes: the SD5000 for higher-volume programs needing a wider supply selection, and the SD3000 for sites with a more modest footprint or volume. Both run the same iQ Technology software and support the same optional packages: outdoor weather and security, temperature control, and custom branding.

Harm Reduction Supply Dispenser

SD5000

The larger model, suited to higher-volume NSP sites that need to offer a broader supply selection. Up to 60 selectable items with a typical capacity of 350, configurable to your program’s full supply list.

Configured for naloxone dispensing, sterile equipment, safer use supplies and more. Trays accommodate products of varied shapes and sizes, including naloxone sprays and sharps containers.

Every product is guaranteed to dispense. Every dispense is tracked through iQ Technology in real time.

Clients press 1 and Enter on the touchscreen. No registration, no card, no PIN, no identifying information required. Configurable for registered access where state requirements demand it.

Harm Reduction Supply Dispenser

SD3000

The compact model, suited to sites with a smaller footprint or lower client volume. Available as an indoor unit. Note: the SD3000 is not available with the outdoor weather and security package; for outdoor installations, the SD5000 is required.

Configurable trays accommodate products of varied shapes and sizes. Typical capacity of 115 items, varying with tray configuration.

IQ technology platform

The software that makes the machine work for your program

The hardware is only half the picture. Every Health Locker machine is powered by IDS iQ Technology, a purpose-built platform for harm reduction dispensing programs. It handles client access, inventory tracking, transaction logging, and reporting in a single interface your team can access from anywhere.

This is the same technology used by established harm reduction programs across the United States and increasingly across Australia. Your team doesn’t need to be technical to use it. We train you on go-live and stay on hand for support.

Every dispense is recorded the moment it happens. You see exactly what was taken, by which client, and when.

Export complete transaction and inventory data instantly. No manual stocktakes, no spreadsheet reconciliation.

Monitor usage, track inventory, and manage your supply configuration through the dashboard. Full visibility over what is being dispensed and when.

Automated notifications when inventory falls below threshold. Never run out unexpectedly.

Understand when your clients access the machine, how often, and what they take. Useful for program planning and funder reporting.

Log into the iQ platform from your desktop, tablet, or phone. Your machine's data is always accessible.

Client Access

Your machine keeps working.
So does our support.

Clients access the machine using a unique identifier. No face-to-face contact, no queues, no stigma. Access methods are configured to your program and your clients’ preferences.

Health Locker machines in Victoria are configured for open access. Clients press 1 and Enter on the touchscreen to access their supplies. No registration, no card, no PIN, no identifying information is required or collected.

For programs that require client registration, machines can be configured to use a PIN or card. Individual state requirements vary, and the access method is set up at the time of installation to match your program's needs.

Access methods are configured at installation to match your state's requirements and your program's needs. Both open access and registered access are supported through the iQ Technology platform.
